Follow up to initial install.

If you have a JL/JT hardtop (imagine JK will be the same) and you installed while the Freedom Panels were in and are going to a SunRider (just put mine back on in time for the April snow in a couple of days).

You need to remove the two long bolts through the Sport Bar, you will also want to loosen the two bolts holding the Bar to the Brackets. This way you can line up the door closure pieces that fit through the ACC Bar brackets. Install the SunRider and tighten it all down, then tighten the bolts from ACC Bar to the brackets. You should never have to touch the two small bolts again.

Yup, the brackets will work with a Sunrider just like it would with a soft top. Glad to hear you were able to make it work without too much fuss :)

I really wasn't paying much attention to alignment, have had the SunRider on and off a few times. Had one side bolted up loose and was working on the other and I couldn't get the front cup to drop in the big hole. WTF?!?! So backed up and started to move some things and lift a door closure up and AHAH smacked me in the forehead. That skinny bolt fits through the big hole with no problem, but that fat cup ain't going to fall in when the hole is 1/3 off.

So, figured I'd save someone else a little head scratching.

Just shows that your ingenuity is strong to get it set up for hard or soft (or SunRider) tops with no major changes.

Eddie,

I'm in the midst of selling my JK. I have the new ACC Bar. Do you sell the brackets so I can install it in my JL or JT?

Thanks!

There was one left but it looks like someone beat me to the last one while I was trying to check out. It was giving me invalid address errors, which I thought was odd but when I came back to the store, Qty available was 0. Any idea how long it will take to get more inventory? Thanks!

Please give it another try. There was someone who had added it to their cart but never completed their purchase. I cleared it so if you hurry, you might get it. Otherwise, I won't have more in stock until next week.

Thanks! It's possible that was me. I was able to complete the purchase this time. When I got to the shipping part, it was saying my address wasn't valid. It seemed to go through fine this time. Appreciate it.

Is the stinger gone? I'm not seeing it on the shop. I'm finally ready to buy one, hoping it's still available.
Unfortunately, the cost of steel and labor these days have made them too expensive to make and sell at a price that's worth my time. Perhaps things will change in the future and if so, I'll try making them again. Sorry.

Eddie,
Love the channel and all the info you and Cindy provide.
I am looking at the CB bar to purchase. My only concern is hitting my head on it when wheeling. I am 6'3". Have you had any feedback on that?

Thanks
Chris

What I can tell you is that in the past, head room was a concern that many had expressed and it is the main reason why I redesigned it the way I have. The new ACC BAR sits up a lot higher to the roof and is actually above the sun visors now. I haven't heard of any complaints about it since.

Great Thanks, I guess I will have to try it out.

Have a Two Door JK and ordered the ACC bar last night. Already received a shipping notification. That’s incredibly fast. I noticed in the detailed ordering information that it was for a hardtop only if installed in a JK. Not an issue currently as I only have a hardtop. But was curious if adding a soft top in the future was viable with the ACC installed in my JK?

I think the door surrounds use that hole that this mounts in. I'm pretty sure its just a guide pin and if thats the case you could probably make it work. Again, I am just guessing as I don't have one currently but had one test fitted on my jeep. Can't remember for sure.

To run a soft top, you will need different roll bar brackets. I had stopped making them a while ago due to low demand. However, if you decide to get a soft top in the future, let me know and I can sell you what you need at that time. Or, if you would just rather have brackets that can do both now, just ship back the L brackets that you will get and I will send you what you need.
