ok so the KL platform is way out of my element.
ive build a ton of tj, yj, xj and jk rigs. I was intrigued
by the nee cherokee platform and wanted to build something
more than a mall crawler. ive yet to see some heavily modified KL's that
do some legitimate crawling. ive seen some intermediate
stuff but everyone seems so standoffish. so im starting a thread
for the '19 KL trailhawk i bought and am going to build for crawling.

here it is day one.......more to come. lift coming in in a few weeks. deciding on tire
size and route this week.

Crawling that will be interesting with IFS/IRS. I know there is one company that makes a long travel rear suspension for them but that will only do so much

I had a 2015, went through the whole spacer lift and pinch weld grinding shenanigans.

Frankly, as much fun as it was, it wasn't worth it.

The ride quality plummeted, and the off-road capability was marginally increased.

The 19s are a different beast with the new transmission, but your suspension is the same.

Ditched mine because of continuous transmission and driveline failures over 3 years of ownership.

Oh, and avoid that MFC Offroad place. You can buy most of their junk on Ali-Express for a fraction without their stickers plastered on it.
