This weird film on mine looked like flowers or some advertising shit. I used commercial windshield products, and nothing took it off. Ended up using Dawn Powerwash, really fine steel wool (windshield was cracked, if I scratched it up no loss) then clay bar. Got all the shit off and windshield...

It's gonna fall off, konk you on the head and you'll end up in a ditch! I mean, they do weigh like 2 pounds a piece with all that webbing. add a flashlight, Jeep tool kit and damn, you're at a dangerous weight limit and that's ejector type tape that'll send it flying off with a great force...

that sounds like it, check the other links for bad bushings before ordering replacement bushings. I'd pull it off and take a drive, betting that's it.

take a closer look at the threads to see if they are crossed. get the right size thread cutter die or you may have to replace the shock. I've never had one fall off like that.

you would be surprised how badly sound travels in the Jeep. I chased a sound that I was sure it was something loose in the back and it turned out to be the hardtop screws that hold it towards the front under the removable panels. Actually found it by accident when I took the panels off and...
